33 Weekly Templates and Tracking
The templates below are this book's synthesis of the creators' advice, not any one person's routine. Treat them as starting shapes and bend them to your week.
| Week | Shape | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Busy (4 to 6 hours) | Two sessions of about two hours, plus one or two 30-minute sessions | Long sessions carry the focus block; short ones go to your weakest skill, where gains come fastest. Reserve a time slot rather than an hours target. 6 |
| Committed (8 to 12 hours) | Four sessions of about two hours, plus one rest day or more | Keep one focus skill for the week or month, but never a whole session of nothing else: a mappool or mixed collection in every session is what keeps the rest of your skill set from sliding. 4,44 |
| Rehab or derust | Daily sessions of 45 to 90 minutes at a level you can full combo in a couple of tries | Star rating stays down until accuracy and bursts are clean; no farm maps for the duration. 3,16 |
What to track
- Collections as a training log. Korilak keeps categories for warm-ups, each mod ladder, streams, single-tap practice, maps in progress, and full combos achieved. Being able to see a map climb the ladder is the progress report. 31
- Local scores. Playing the same practice maps repeatedly makes your own score history the cleanest measure you have.
- A 1% collection. Maps you have even a small chance to full combo, from the plateau video: goals that are hard but attempted. 43
- Small objective wins. A B becoming an A, a first pass, a longer combo, a higher comfortable BPM. Tonehh's counter to rank-watching. 16
- Hit error and UR, checked occasionally rather than chased. 12
- A photo of your grip, and a note of your area, so a good setup can be rebuilt after a bad week. 21
Drill: The monthly benchmark
- Pick four fixed maps: a long stream map at your current BPM, a burst-heavy map, a jump map at your comfortable star rating, and one Hard Rock or Double Time map.
- Play each once a month, warmed up, and record score, accuracy, UR, and how far you got.
- Change nothing else about them: the point is a fixed ruler. Korilak used a deathstream marathon this way, khz used six timed runs a session. 5,31
